The Chattanooga State Tigers wrapped up a competitive three-match week with a pair of conference victories and several standout performances on both sides of the ball.
The week began at home on October 7 against Cleveland State, where the Tigers battled through four hard-fought sets (24–26, 25–15, 20–25, 23–25). Ava Higgins and Baileigh Seale each recorded a double-double, with Higgins posting 17 kills and 21 digs, and Seale adding 39 assists and 15 digs. Katelyn Anderson anchored the defense with 27 digs, tying her career high. Offensively, Sydney Smith chipped in 16 kills, while the Tigers’ defense combined for 100 total digs, showcasing a very competitive match.
Chattanooga bounced back two nights later with a 3–1 road win over Jackson State (25–10, 14–25, 25–20, 26–24). The Tigers’ balanced offense was again paced by Seale, who notched her second straight double-double with 45 assists and 17 digs. Quincie Hrinik led the attack with 16 kills, followed closely by Sydney Smith with 13 and Higgins with 11. Shiloh Sheeks provided a major spark from the service line, recording a career-high six aces, while MaLeah Smith anchored the defense at the net with five total blocks.
The Tigers carried that momentum into Saturday’s matchup at Dyersburg State, sweeping the Eagles in dominant fashion (25–9, 25–17, 25–12). MaLeah Smith delivered a career performance, finishing with seven kills on .700 hitting—both new personal bests. Madison Roach also set a career high with three kills per set, while Ava Higgins and Quincie Hrinik powered the offense with 12 and 10 kills, respectively. Seale once again steered the offense with 43 assists, and Katelyn Anderson and Sydney Smith combined for nearly 20 digs to round out the defense.
With the 2–1 week, the Tigers improved to 13-6 and will look to build on their momentum heading into the next stretch of conference play.
